Proving that the Rainbow Fields pattern isn’t just for classic rainbows, Kerry has chosen a fantastic colour gradient for her quilt! I absolutely adore the low volume prints and blacks merging into blues and ‘blurples’ and the use of fussy cut Tula Pink fabrics is incredible - and I can’t wait to see the rest of it!

Sam embraced the traditional ROYGBIV rainbow with some truly gorgeous saturated fabrics for her cushion cover. She used an amazing range of prints - I think each one only appears once in the whole cushion! Her storage solution is far more stylish than mine (a grubby mini tote bag) so I might need to track down a little wooden tray for myself. Some simple but effective straight line machine quilting on the diagonal complements Sam’s hand stitching perfectly and makes for a truly special cushion cover.

I made the cushion for the pattern test although I have basted lots of hexies already to make the quilt. I love working with colour and enjoyed seeing this come together! Mixing pastels and brights Tara has basted up a Hexie storm for her version of the Rainbow Hexie Quilt! She has some absolutely darling prints in this mix and I can’t wait to see it all come together. I just love those fussy cut ladies in pink!

First time EPP-er Nikki made a beautiful saturated rainbow mini by making the cushion top and then binding it. There’s a nice soft texture added by the diamond quilting and the white binding gives it a lovely clean and crisp finish. A gorgeous first EPP project!
